Wales completed

July 2018

Today I’ve finished walking the coastline of another country that makes up the United Kingdom, Wales. Like England I’ve not done it in order which is how I ended up finishing at the tiny hamlet and railway station of Tonfanau near Towyn.

Earlier today I crossed the beautiful Barmouth viaduct, a wooden railway (and foot) bridge the longest bridge wholly in Wales.

I was fortunate to have such fantastic weather, too.

I still have a long way to go to complete my walk around the coast of Scotland, however! But very pleased to have finished two countries now.

  1. Brilliant! Well done. I understand why Scotland is challenging though.

Thanks Anabel. Yes it will take me some time to do the coast of Scotland. I’ve done the east coast and most of the north coast (and soon going back to hopefully make further progress), but the west coast will take a long time, there are so many “crinkly bits” as a friend of mine puts it!
