March 2016
Earlier this month I went back to Jersey. When I walked around the island a few years ago, I did not go on the causeway over to Corbière lighthouse, so it was time to put that right!
The lighthouse is at the far south west corner of the island and in a very spectacular location, built on top of a rock.
It is not open to the public, other than by a limited number of tours in the summer, so I was not able to get inside, but it was still worth the walk over.
This is the view of the Lighthouse back on the cliff tops of the main island, showing the causeway over to the island, that is covered at high tide.
Whilst on the island I also took the opprutunity to walk some of the spectacular coast on the south of the island. Here are a couple of my favourite photos from the walk.
